The inspiration for the Sphynx Mignon was a little cat called Dobby. I happened onto him and his “dad” on the Internet. I don’t know the owner’s name, but how he cares for Dobby is so endearing and sweet that it killed me at first sight. I love how their bond started out strong and whizzed to high sky ever since.

I’m thinking the name of that little cat might have derived from Harry Potter. An adorable, bat-eared house elf with a gentle heart from the story seems to have come to life on social media. And of curse, his name is Dobby. What makes Dobby’s story even more exciting is that in real life, Dobby’s owner also has the characteristics of the bat-eared house elf from Harry Potter. Dad and the little cat both are so fine and kind and tender that they melt your heart into a mush when you watch them interact.
