Of all the Mignons I have made so far, I spent the most time trying to figure out how I wanted our giraffe to look. The design and building process went through phases of making and revising. Finally, I “felt” I got it. (Pun intended!) I’m very fond of this particular interpretation of the species because it represents a very special little boy whose name is Peyton.

Peyton was going to be associated with the giraffe when born. And what do you know?! After birth, as he started growing, he suddenly had long legs and an elegant, giraffe-like posture. I still wonder how on earth could the prior-to-birth animal/human associations manifest themselves so accurately in real life. But they do!
