When I was a sculpture grad at San Diego State University, I had a colleague, Curtis, who was working toward his degree in painting. Curtis was the type of person that everybody loved. He was modest, sensitive, and kind-hearted.

One day, Curtis got a cat companion that happened to be the most beautiful Russian Blue I have ever seen. Now those two guys literally grew into partners in crime. I always thought, one day, I’m going to have Russian Blues as well.

I lost contact with Curtis a long time ago, yet there was no chance that I would forget about him and his cat.

But the point is that this Russian Blue Mignon has been formulated based on Curtis and his cat, as I remember them both, all together: A little bit chubby, dignified, and full of artistry.
